Last night Brody had his introduction to Cub Scout's dinner and space derby!! Since he is almost eight they invited Brody and the family for a dinner to introduce us to the leaders and other boys. They also gave brody a space ship to build with Bryce, which he worked on prior to this. He was so excited about this, he went all out and painted his of course camo!!! After the boys flyed their ships they got certificates!! It was so much fun, Brody is really looking forward to Cub Scouts, especially day camp this July!!

Well the nesting fever has begun and I look at it this way, I might as well get the big stuff over with while I can still bend over and can still see my toes!! So over the weekend I moved Bryce's office into the spare room (what a project) and prepared the baby room to be painted. This week I went to Lowes with my colors and chose my paint, got a curtain rod and some cute brown curtains. Well I got home all excited about the colors I choose, a very light pink and a brown to accent it, and popped the lid of the pink paint poured it into the tray and started at the top of the ceiling to get a even line and just about died. That pretty, light pink was not pretty or light once it touched my walls. It was a cross between fuchsia and pepto bismol. I was about to cry when Bryce came in and started laughing. He made me forget about how devastating it was and made me mad that the paint was so miss judging. So I was back to Lowes and told them what happened and by then a really nice lady had taken over the paint department and helped me fix my big boo boo. She took me over to the whites and we found a very nice white with a light blush of pink in it, it turned out to be absolutely perfect. Then today Kale and I went on a hunt for a dresser slash changing table. I had already looked at some used changing dressers that were on consignment but they wanted $199 for them and they were so chinsy, made out of press board (I hate that stuff). So I decided to check out the antique stores. Kale and I finally ended up at the Laffayette School Antique store and found the most perfect dresser that was just the right height and length, it even has a beautiful mirror. I paid $195 for it, it's at least 50 some years old and it's in perfect shape and very sturdy! The best part about it is how perfect it fits in our little girls room!! So her room is done, just a few other things to do like make a chair cover for a stuffed rocking chair I have for her room and put some wall hangings up and maybe find a small bookcase for her and that's it. It was so much fun!!! I love to just go stand in there and look at her room, I cant wait for her to be here in our arms.
Last week Kale and I went with Grandma Suzanne, Aunt Julie and her friend Ilene to Manzanita to check out houses and things to do for our big Freestone Family Reunion in August. Kale was such a good sport, we must have looked at at least 30 different houses and never once did Kale complain about getting in and out of the car. It was so beautiful while we were there, warm, sunny and very little wind! That evening we drove up to Seaside where my Aunt Julie has a timeshare at the Seaside Resort and stayed the night. The next morning we got up and took a wonderful walk on the beach. Kale loved looking at all the shells and sand dollars on the beach and of course trying to catch the seagulls, Hah fat chance! We had a great time and look forward to our family reunion, Manzanita is a very beautiful little town!

This morning bright and early was my ultrasound!! We had decided that since this is the last baby that we would make it a big deal and we wanted the boys to go and be a part of this. So we were up at 5:45 this morning getting ready and around 6:30 I asked Bryce to go get Kale up so he could eat before we got him dressed. I heard Kale kicking and screaming as Bryce dragged him into the living room. So I thought that I should go take a look and see what was wrong with him. When I got to the hallway Kale was already headed back to his room, he stomped passed me into his room tossed the door shut behind him and Bryce and I watched him, through the crack in the door, climb back into bed and pull the covers over his head. It was so cute, he really didn't want to be up that early. So I went in and said "Kale were going to go see the baby this morning, don't you want to go and see your baby?" He pulled back the covers, looked up at me and smiled then he reached out and touched my belly and said "baby" and he was up and out of bed!! Brody took a little less coaxing, just a little back scratch!! We were out the door by 7 am this morning!! We picked up my Mom so she could go with us and help out with the boys and were there right at 7:45 am. We were in with the technician at 8 and before we knew it there was our little baby on the screen above us. We all sat in wonder and looked at this incredible little being. The boys really loved it!! Then of course they have to look the baby over to make sure all is well and that's when the boys started to loose interest. But it was cute because when she was looking at the spine Brody named it right away. So we finally got to the exciting stuff and she asked if we wanted to know what we were having. Of course I said yes and then in the same breath said it's a boy isn't it? She laughed and said "It's a GIRL"!!!! I was so excited that I started to cry. At that very moment I had this overwhelming feeling that I was complete, my little family was complete and I feel so whole!!!! Wow, a little girl, we are so blessed!!! We are still working over the details of her name, but I am pretty sure her first name will be Settely. I'm still playing with the spelling but I figure we have four months left. I told Bryce he knows what this means, I want the baby's room!! It currently is the office, so I told him his days are numbered and we better get busy on the shop addition!! Brody and Kale are excited about their baby sister too!! What an exciting day, I cant help smiling all the time!!! Our little Girl!

Kale is just excited that there is a baby in my belly. He comes up and pats my belly and talks to the baby and then gives my belly a kiss, it's really cute!! Brody all Camoed Out

That is the most perfect handle bar milk mustache that I have ever seen
Brodster and Kalester hanging out together. Look their even smiling.
These are Kale's new mud boots, they are cows and they even have little tails on the backs. He found them at Target and had his shoes ripped off and those on almost as soon as he laid eye's on them. I thought it was so cute I couldn't resist getting them for him.

Monkeys at bed time

The boys have had a big day today. Brody went to school to work hard and Kale got lot's of play time up at Grandma and Grandpa Workman's!! Then when the boys reunite after school it's a race to see who can wear each other out first. They play, wrestle, fight, make up and start all over again. You would think that by their bed time at 8pm that they would be exhausted, but they always seem to have a little more energy as soon as they get into their beds!! and this is what happens!!
